{ Hello! }

My name is Gavin. I am 11 months old. I was born with a genetic disorder called Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency that caused my liver to go into failure. I was misdiagnosed for 3 months and underwent emergency surgery before they found out what was wrong. I am on the Organ Donation List and am waiting for my "gift of life" so I can have a liver transplant. You can read about my story by clicking {here}. Thank you for visiting my online journal!

*It is our deepest sorrow to inform you that Gavin passed away while waiting to receive a liver transplant. He was only 14 days away from his 1st birthday. Please, if you haven't already, sign up to be a registered organ donor today and talk to your loved ones about your wishes: http://www.donatelife.net/. Thank you all so much for your love and support during this last year.

Charity Yard Sale....the details!

I know everyone is probably dying to hear more details about our yard sale, and especialy how much money we made! I was going to write all about the awesome stories that happened that day, but I think I'm going to wait a little bit. #1 because I'll be bearing my testimony about it this weekend and don't want to "spoil the surprise" and #2 because I'm still dead tired and don't feel like typing that much out right now.

Drum roll, please!

{ We made over $5,000.00 in ONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! }

Thank you so much to everyone who generously gave of their time and donated items for the sale! Tune in on Sunday for the best post ever with lots of warm fuzzies, goosebumps, and general good feelings all around when I share all the stories that happened that day! :)

We are following your trial closely. You may not know us, but Jan is your Dad's cousin. We just made a donation through PayPal, and we hope all of the enormous Brinton family will follow suit. If everyone gives a little, you will have a LOT! May God be with you and little Gavin.

By the way, when will your silent auction be held? We could come down from Pinetop-Lakeside.

Hi! You're right, I had no idea my Dad had a cousin named Jan! Nice to meet you both! :D Its always cool meeting people who knew my Dad well. :)

I'm not exactly sure when the auction will be, I'm guessing within the next month (May) though. I will be sure to tell Ann to let you guys know! (she & Randy are in charge of it!) And I will def post about it on here as well.
